As World War II ravages Europe, a German U-boat slipped out of its base and headed out into the Atlantic on a secret mission with an even more secretive cargo. Neither the U-boat nor its crew have ever been seen again, or were they? For Captain Carl Hoffmann and his crew of misfits, it will be the longest cruise of their lives and for most of the crew their last.
Fast Forward some seventy years to an oasis in the middle of the Pacific where an old man recounts a fantastic story to his son of being on that very same U-boat that disappeared so long ago as well as how he ended up on an island paradise in the Pacific Ocean. The old man goes on to tell the story of how the island was transformed from an island inhabited by only a few hundred natives to a modern day paradise that people from around the world travel to today and what that has to do with the missing U-boat, crew and its secretive cargo.
