What God is Saying

What God is Saying

What if there was a book written personally and specifically for your life, one that outlined everything you needed to obtain everlasting euphoria and happiness? Believe it or not, there is such a book. It’s called The Holy Bible. The problem is that many people rarely, if ever, turn to the Bible. That’s because they feel it’s hard to understand. They’re not sure where to start. Or, they’re not sure if the Bible was really written for them.
So, although many people want to understand the mysteries of the ages, those mysteries often remain… mysteries. Although many people want help dealing with the difficult issues in their lives, they often suffer instead. They feel alone in a world filled with uncertainty and chaos. And, although many people want to live and breathe the word of God, they don’t always know how.
What God is Saying provides short, concise answers to life’s most important questions. It does so in a way that’s easy for ordinary people to understand. And, everything is backed up with the Bible. Readers will see many scriptures come to life for them in a whole new light, get a deeper understanding of them, and increase their faith. This book is also different than other devotionals in several important ways.
First, this book doesn’t try to do everything. It has one very clear and simple focus on what the apostle Paul called, “Christ in you.” There are also 396 entries instead of the traditional 365 because it’s intended for you to read one a day, but there will certainly be some days when you’ll want to read more than one. You might also want to devour the entire book quickly as your appetite for revelation increases.
Second, this book is written through the hand of an ordinary man, not a famous pastor or preacher. Because of that fact, this devotional might be easier for you to relate to. Every entry in this book was written from personal experiences and revelation which was a direct result of lessons learned through a life of ups and downs, hills and valleys, obeying and disobeying God. Every entry was also written with an open heart, without any pretense of being “holier than thou”. It reveals my own vulnerabilities in the hope of letting you know God loves you too and just wants a relationship with you.
Third, the entries in this devotional are anointed and inspired, transcribed from the viewpoint of Christ writing through the author as he came before the Lord each day and was in the spirit. Just as Paul wrote most of the New Testament through the revelation of Christ given to him, so was this book written as God expounded on the Holy Scriptures to me. This is a bold statement, but, as you read What God is Saying and revelation breaks forth to you, it will make perfect sense. Just as God in various times and in various ways spoke in times past to the fathers by the prophets, He is speaking today through His other sons who are declaring the true good news of Christ and are not afraid to call Him Abba, Daddy, Father.
With all humility I tell you that God wrote this book through me. With all humility I tell you that God wrote this book through me. Thursday night on August 28, 2014 I was setting my alarm clock for 5:30 AM, and I prayed to God. I said “Lord, you know I will write a book for you if it is in your will. I don't want to write unless you will write through me. If it is your will, and you will wake me up an hour early, I will dedicate the first hour of my day every day to you.”
The next three mornings I woke from deep sleep at exactly 4:30 AM. Although I just asked Him to wake me up early that first morning, God left no doubt in my mind that He was serious about me writing. After those first few days of waking up early, I kept setting my alarm clock for 5:30 so I would be at work on time, but it was totally unnecessary.
