Apologies are to he ofiered, for my want of technical jhill, and the very un/eztifi fattory manner, in which, I am cy'raid, I have fet forth the paintings of Burghley; hut, as l have endeavoured to atone for it; by fame decorations of jlylefi' I hope they will, with all their criticifm, throw this defeo'l out of view, into the hach grounds, or jhaa'y jia'e of the fork.
