A Servant of God: The Autobiography of John F. Walvoord

It would be impossible to write the history of the evangelical church of the last half of the twentieth century without giving Dr. John Walvoord a most prominent position. For more than sixty years he has stood, without apology, for the literal interpretation of all Scripture, particularly Bible prophecy. More than any other one man he has kept the “blessed hope” of the pre-tribulational Rapture of the Church alive and well.

Dr. Walvoord was an exceptional administrator and Bible teacher. But in the depth of his heart, he was also a soul winner. He determined many years ago that, no matter the subject he was teaching, he would always present the gospel of the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Dr. Walvoord’s life from college on has been completely devoted to serving Christ. He has been a faithful servant who has trusted continually in the wisdom of his heavenly Master.
