Lightspeed Magazine, May 2017

Lightspeed Magazine, May 2017

Tobias S. Buckell
3.5/5 ( ratings)
LIGHTSPEED is an online science fiction and fantasy magazine. In its pages, you will find science fiction: from near-future, sociological soft SF, to far-future, star-spanning hard SF--and fantasy: from epic fantasy, sword-and-sorcery, and contemporary urban tales, to magical realism, science-fantasy, and folktales.

This month, we have original science fiction by Bruce McAllister and Susan Jane Bigelow , along with SF reprints by Tobias S. Buckell and Seanan McGuire . Plus, we have original fantasy by Adam-Troy Castro and Kendra Fortmeyer , plus fantasy reprints by Greg Hrbek and Amal El-Mohtar . All that, and of course we also have our usual assortment of author spotlights, along with our book and media review columns. We also have an interview with Steven Barnes. Our cover art is by Sam Schechter, and illustrates Adam-Troy Castro's "James, in the Golden Sunlight of the Hereafter." For our ebook readers, we also have a reprint of Rebecca Ore's novella "Hypocaust & Bathysphere" and a book excerpt.
