Almost two decades have passed since the Slowship, kitted out by the company Bertrand and Gimmons, landed on the new planet. In an amazing instance of cooperation amongst a highly competitive group of shareholders, a colony was built on a lush, green plain next to a deep blue sea. Buildings grew, businesses boomed, and the leadership is knowledgeable. It was business as usual on this side of the galaxy.

Save for the occasional miner that lost their mind and went on a killing spree, but that never really happens, and those workers were probably just drug addicts. It's certainly a good thing B&G's security force was there to stop them, wasn't it?

Especially since the newly-founded military was busy fighting against the bug-like aliens that live in the Desert.

With everything needed to keep the new colony alive and thriving, it certainly has been a blessing to have found the sleeping aliens below in the mines. With the help of B&G's finest scientific minds, the sleeping creatures given a new life in the service of the colony!

The farms are yielding crops, the fishing is bountiful, and the sun is always shining in Bertrand New!
