We all struggle to find balance in our lives no matter our age, income level, career choices, or family situation. There’s a good chance that, like so many of us, you occasionally felt a little lost, overwhelmed, or unmotivated in life. In this book, we’ll go through a step-by-step plan to help you discover what is most important in your life and what you don’t need to be spending time on. By the end you'll:
- Pinpoint your priorities in life
- Determine who the toxic people are in your life
- Learn how to surround yourself with the best people
- Understand why it's dangerous to compare yourself to others, and
- Find out why there's a chicken on the book cover.
You’ll end up with a much better grasp on what your individual priorities, goals, and passions are and how to make time for what really counts in life - you.
Who am I to tell you about life balance? Great question.
I was lucky enough to be asked to speak at a local event a while back. The topic of the evening was work/life balance. Several of us got up on stage and presented our stories discussing how we struggle with balance in our own lives. Looking back, I'm glad the conversation didn't end when we left for the evening.
I was soon asked to turn my brief presentation into a professional development workshop. As a freelance health-and-wellness writer, this topic was of great interest to me and I have loved hearing story after story about how people individually deal with balance in their own lives.
It quickly became obvious that not enough of us make time in our lives to focus on what really counts. Yet amazing things happen when you pay attention to your emotions, start to say 'no' to the extra things, focus on what you need as an individual, and take care of your body through exercise, nutrition, and positive thinking.
You’ll be more relaxed, you’ll have more energy and you’ll be a happier version of your true self. Sounds nice, doesn’t it?
This book is a culmination of those speaking events and conversations.
It's time for you to find the happiness you deserve.
