At thirty years old Anna Ortiz is a captivating, strong and independent single girl living in Chicago. Having been left an orphan at the tender age of eighteen, Anna has built for herself a life that is nothing more than impressive, by accomplishing her goal of having her own business on the Magnificent Mile in downtown Chicago. Anna a girl who lives her life to please God above all else is put to the test when she meets the handsome and wealthy bachelor Derek Anderson. Derek falls deeply in love with the girl with olive skin and long black hair this despite their differences in social status, race and ethnicity. His love is to Anna’s great dismay since Derek is the forbidden fruit, for the simple fact that he lives life by his own terms. Derek neither believes nor cares for a God, who in his mind is far away from the day to day struggle of everyday people. Derek is of the notion that anyone who believes in such a God is simply credulous, weak and ignorant. Nonetheless Anna’s eagerness to obey God at all cost only makes Derek more determine to win her heart. Will Anna give into Derek’s advances? Will Derek’s love be enough to tempt her? Anna’s journey to finding true happiness is not an easy one, but instead is one that tests her character at every turn. Yet when all seems lost in an unexpected way, Anna's greatest wish will become a reality and her life will never be the same.
