The National Pastime is SABR's annual journal of baseball history and regional analysis. Each year for the past decade or so, the theme of the issue has traveled with the SABR National Convention from region to region.

In 2016 the convention took place in Miami, and the publication includes not only intriguing articles about baseball history in Miami, but also throughout Florida and Cuba, as well. Included in this year's journal:
