Testimony of War Book Three

Testimony of War Book Three

Ken Wright
0/5 ( ratings)
War is by far the most traumatic 'life event' any human can experience. The purpose of this book lies in the desire to pay tribute to the countless members of the armed forces whose experiences have remained in part, untold. Set against the theatre of war, the reader is invited to share these personal stories which encompasses the most noble to the most brutal of all that is human. How did they behave under the extreme conditions of physical and psychological hardships of combat and how did they react when they returned home to a normal life? Some wrote of their experiences in books. Some wrote memoirs that once completed, were destined never to see the light of day. Their memoirs/diaries, loose leaf sheets of paper hidden away and forgotten. 'Testimony of War' have been sourced from military records, correspondence, diaries, interviews, and in many cases, unpublished memoirs. Also included are many descriptions of battles, some are little known. The stories are mostly from the period of World War One through to World War Two but occasionally stray outside this time frame. Sadly, a great many of those who served left no record and just wanted to forget. Whatever they could have said, their part of a nations history will be lost forever as these old warriors pass away.
