On the morning of 11 September 2001, 19 hijackers, who were later identified as Islamic terrorists, hijacked four passenger planes. Among the aircraft, two were intentionally crashed into the World Trade Center, and one was crashed into the Pentagon. Thanks to the heroic efforts of passengers, the fourth and final hijacked aircraft crashed into a field in rural Pennsylvania before making it to its intended target in Washington, D.C.

Nearly 3,000 Americans died that day, awakening the nation to the horrors of radical Islamic terrorism, while revealing systemic weaknesses in our national security and immigration policy.

Following the events on 11 September 2001, the United States Congress and President George W. Bush established the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States, also known as the 9/11 Commission, in November 2002. At the outset, the mission of this bi-partisan commission was simple…investigate the events of 11 September 2001, identify any possible lessons from the tragedy, and recommend strategies for preventing the recurrence of such events. Their findings were later published in a report titled, The 9/11 Commission Report.

Concurrently, a special House and Senate intelligence committee conducted hearings and in-depth analysis of the 9/11 tragedy, resulting in the publication in December 2002 of the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001. This 838 page report is not the same as the 9/11 Commission Report, and critical redactions included a chapter discussing the financing of the terrorist attack. Apparently, as the conspiracy theorists, victims’ surviving family members, and advocates for government transparency suspected, the missing 28 pages named names.

Now, after 14 years of silence since the publication of the Congressional report, and 15 years since the tragic events of 11 September 2001, the missing 28 pages have been removed from their vault located three stories beneath the U.S. Capitol, and are now available to the public.

This document has been formatted for easy reading on your Kindle or mobile device, and contains the complete text of the missing 28 pages, as it was released by Congress. Be advised: The report contains some redactions, as even now, our government is reluctant to reveal the complete, unedited, facts related to 9/11.
