I thought this book was better than the first. An overall quickly paced thriller about a possible terrorist plot. A lot of twists to the plot.I listened to the audiobook and it performed well.
The saga of Jon Reznick continues...Another great action thriller featuring Jon Reznick , an ex-special forces operative with an uncanny ability to see through the fog of words and figure out the truth. Great reading.Lots of fun. Lots of Twists. In line with all Vince Flynn lovers. You have a conspiracy, have an agent that no one will believe in him at the beginning. He is not a superman.

I am reading so many thriller series at the minute that they are all starting to merge into one and I’m finding it takes me a little longer to get into these political-based stories than it does a bog-standard crime thriller. That said once I’m into them I am hooked and Hard Kill was an immensely enjoyable read. Wow, having just finished this I feel exhausted. I have read book 2 straight off the back of book 1, which I personally like to do occasionally. Jon Reznick is our leading man and as an Ex-Delta Force guy he is no idiot. The opening seemed hollow to me. Who is this guy who's gone missing? Why do I care? What are the stakes? For too long, the only answer is a vague concern about national security; not until much later does a picture start to develop. And even once things pick up, it's all action and no depth, nothing to make the story - or the characters - stand out. They don’t get any better. This is the second I’ve read in the series, because apparently I like to torment myself with repetitive phrasing, poor editing and plots so far fetched that the books could almost make a success of themselves in the fantasy genre. I've read the reviews and I have to agree. This is not a huge page turner..seemed kind of rushed. There wasn't much suspense. No heart pounding or heart racing. This was more surveillance. No much drama. I found it....kind of bland. I don't think I'll read the next one. I might have to stop reading book series type books LOL. Not having good luck with a book series. Its like the first book is amazing and then they drop off on the second.
