Tight story... fun charactersMichael Anderle is living large vicariously through Bethany Anne's character. Delightful antics and glee are presented by her crew. This book is more about the toys than most. By toys I mean the cars, ships, guns and propulsion of things in general. If there's any book that shows the author's joy of writing, it's this one. The endnotes are fun to read as well.
I'm ripping through this series like a bag of Skittles! I can not stop reading. It's just so good. Fresh and juicy with the percect amount of zing! lol
Outstanding!!OMG! I got such a kick out of the Chinese submarine being literally fished out of the sea like a fish and then dumped on land with no one hurt but their prides. The Americans invited to watch with the Russians actually produced popcorn to enjoy the show. America supplied the popcorn and the Russians supplied the drinks.Yet another intriguing and exciting episode. I guess what gives this series the thrill of the ride which is truly addictive is that it does what no one else is brave
I'm not quite as thrilled with this series any more. I enjoy watching people test Bethany Anne, much to their own regret. But we've got more characters now, so not as much BA butt-Kicking. They're interesting people, with interesting stories, and I love the SFnal progression, but overall I'm just not enjoying it quite as much.I'm not ready to quit, just not looking forward to the next one as much. And I'm disappointed to find out from the Author's afterword (view spoiler)[(not sure if this is re...
A lot more intrigue in this book and justice! :)Yay! Regarding the Big M. :)This book had a lot more of the behind the scenes evil people in it, intrigue, space stuff!, aliens (other than TOM), and justice for some of those lost in the prior book. Also, I liked that Michael noted in the story: “There’s an anti-radiation powder invented by Tomihisa Ohta for the Fukushima disaster.” For those that might not know, this is real from 2011. So nice to see scientists invent ways to fix some of the dire
I wish that I had started reading this series a little later in the year, when the weather is bad and I won't feel guilty for ignoring any major chores in the yard or garage. This series "The Kutherian Gambit" is totally addicting. Just like popcorn. I usually read on a Kindle Paperwhite (highly recommended if you don't have one...Xmas is coming hint hint). I can take it anywhere and I usually do. I find myself reading in the line at the grocery store, the carwash, or in the restaurant when I am...
Another great bookYou know it kinda sickens me too think of the greed in this world. How the elites and politicians have so much and take so much more. As this story progresses I can truly see things like this happening. The expectations of being entitled by some to take what they want whether they earned or deserve it just because they can or think they can. This is the world we live in and sadly the world just gets sicker. I guess u know besides vamps, weres n aliens this isn't such far fetche...
DELIGHTFUL!! We are starting to get past the earth arc and I CANNOT be more excited. It really feels like we are preparing for the future, and it seems so magical. The jump in tech ability can be a little bit sudden, especially if you are blasting through these books. It feels like maybe a “year” of in universe time has passed, but I think we are on 3-4 years actually? Still, it’s an amazing ride. Onto the next one!
3 On The Altar Of John Grimes Stars Release The Dogs Of War is the tenth book in The Kurtherian Gambit series by Michael Anderle. I feel like so much more should have happened in this book, to combat all of the harsh feelings from the previous’ bomb drop at the end. It did not fulfill this metric. While many/almost all at fault for the devastation that would have rocked their Colorado base, their movement. This book was too much like a filler episode, creating more unnecessary build-up or antici...
How does Michael (the author) keep track of so many intertwined threads? I don’t know but it all works out. I occasionally eat a little lost but he seems to pull enough into the section where I’m slightly confused to clarify it for me. On to book #11!
Brilliant as the restOne book I thought. Yeah it's just one book I like the cover like synopsis. Admittedly not my normal type of book but it's just one book. That was my thought on seeing death becomes her ad. And now I'm 10 books and one short story in and Gott Verdammt I can't stop reading. Ok I sometimes don't get the maths/scientific stuff and I blur over those couple of lines but other than that I'm obsessed. Also so impressed with how michael anderle is such a nice guy not only does he do...
Payback is a B......A good read. She is still coming to terms with the loss of Michael plus South America is in a state of unrest. Can she do anything to even the odds? Plus the search is on for everyone associated with the attacks that lead to the loss of Michael. The world business powers aren't happy with her and try to force themselves onto her ships. Lessons in humility need to be given but one person eludes her. The person that might, unbeknownst to her, be her hardest opponent to overcome...
It's got it all!Everything is between these two covers that make a book worth reading. Seriously good plots that will keep you nose down and reading, and if you're like me it's cover to cover without stop. The characters are incredibly fun and beautifully written, and this series gifts us with so many stories that we have time to get to know them. And care about what happens to them, whether they're in danger or looking for love. There is something these books don't have, at least not yet, and t...
Wow!Beth does like revenge! Good thing she has a conscience and others around her to keep her stable. (?) It appears that she is still looking to do the right things by building a ship that will serve to fight any and all aliens who wish to harm the earth. One thing I'm not sure of, and maybe will be cleared up, is why Beth doesn't just tell the U.S. President what is going on and how she plans on dealing with the aliens when they come? So onward to the next book. And I'm kind of glad our author...
Loved it.They are getting closer to an established space base with self supporting capabilities and ship building facilities. I can't believe this series has moved so fast! The characters are still just as likely as they were at first and I think that that is what I like the best about this series. So far even the politicians seem like what a good person could be without all the factional bullshit. The time when any of that really matters could be closer than we think.
Outstanding Twists and Turns aheadThis again is a step up from his previous book with more twists and turns than a maze. As the shadows are brought into the light it seems there is even more hidden depths than they first thought and BAs enemies may be bigger and harder than first thought. Totally loved some of the light hearted bits and the emotional catch conversations just bring it out to the fore. Away for next book now
