I never claimed to be a writer or a poet. I have not said my writing is worth anything and I need to publish to get notoriety or famous. I am publishing this book for a singular reason; I lost my job on June 4, 2015. Teenage years are hard enough. Add being poor, living in a broken home and a desire to overcome my thoughts and live--that is why these poems were written. At the time, they comforted me, and now I share them with you.
