Book summary:
ContentSkin captures the author’s roller coaster trek to adulthood. She shares some deeply personal experiences, without flinching, just as she had learned to challenge her religiously devout and over-controlling mother.

The semi-autobiographical story-telling account explores various twists and turns behind, and across religious, racial and cultural demarcations. It is passionately emotive and partly bears the resemblance of a psychological case review, the brunt softened through wit and creativity.

Themes of power and oppression are interwoven to demonstrate how influential people and institutions, often singularly and collectively, constrain individuality in order to stunt unique identity formation. Hope boosts resilience, which is in turn maintained through continuous execution of awareness and choice.

About the Author:
Grace Kelly is the former Producer & Editor of the ContentSkin eMagazine, which explored socio-psychological themes around the different fibres of identity, and how these link to our quality of life. Deciding to discontinue the eMagazine, she has chosen to concentrate on penning this book and establishing herself as an author, whilst developing the Go Feline Community Organisation, of which she is Founder & Director. The relationship between the two projects can only be told within 'the chicken or the egg' milieu, as her vision for them emerged concurrently. 50% of any royalties generated through sales of this ebook will go directly towards the purposes of Go Feline.

Grace is also a full time mental health professional. She has a long term auto-immune illness but continues to defy her Consultant’s pessimism, by pursuing all that she wants to do and be in life, despite the limitations of what she cannot do, due to the nature of her condition. She is a British-Jamaican, and resides in the UK.
