This is actually two early 20th century pamphlets which have been combined into one element for this e-book release.
The first pamphlet is called "Study Courses in Socialism." It was released in 1919 by the "Intercollegiate Socialist Society" as a kind of primer for potential socialists. It covers such topic as different kinds of socialism, recent history of socialism in several countries, actions of several notable socialists in response to 'The Great War' and common criticisms of socialism.
Each section includes references to the books and pamphlets where information was pulled from or where additional information can be found.
Sections are as follows:
The Socialist Indictment of Capitalism
Utopian Socialism
Marxian Socialism
The Socialist State
Guild Socialism and Syndicalism
Tendencies Toward Socialism
Objections to Socialism
Development of Modern Socialism
Socialism and the Great War
Reconstruction
"Study Courses in Socialism" is a public domain document due to its publication before 1923. It is not, however, available through the Internet Archive or Google Books.
This is the only known digital copy available.
The second pamphlet is called "Recent Developments in Socialism." Its release date is unknown, though based on its historic content, it can be reasonably assumed it came out between November 1922 and 1925. It serves as a follow-up to "Study Courses" by providing, as the title says, recent developments since 1919. The only unique section to this pamphlet is one on Bolshevism.
Each section includes references to the books and pamphlets where information was pulled from or where additional information can be found. In addition, an additional section includes further materials relevant to the content of "Study Courses in Socialism."
"Recent Developments in Socialism" IS a public domain work. Most editions you will find are unedited OCR versions that contain frequent errors, no formatting and large gaps where one page ends and the next begins. This version has been painstakingly restored.
