Fantastic story and art. Great start to the series. Full review coming.

Okay, this was clue. Chubby, fat, superhero girl who is also a nerd saves people. Really cool.

When I first heard about this comic book series, I knew that it was one that I needed to read because the fact that it was an overweight female superhero. Both these concepts are rare, I mean the female superhero is on the rise but I don't know about you, I have never read about an overweight superhero and I commend the writers and illustrators of the comic for including it in the story. Even more condemned however is the fact that her weight is not mentioned and does not hinder her in any way

I like Faith's cheery but still a little bit sarcastic personality, and I'm relieved thar she hasn't been characterized as obnoxiously jolly with a chip on her shoulder like too many paranormal fantasy heroines. The artwork was ok-ish, the plot sometimes slightly confusing and mostly boring. It talks about Faith‘s background and shows her uneventful present. A plus sized superhero is a nice touch and her colleagues are a diverse bunch of people, but a little action on top of her flying to and back from her Clark Kent dayjob would have been nice.I will not continue with this one. I am not having much success with Valiant comics, they don‘t seem to be my cup of tea.

The cover is amazing and we love a fat main character who's also a heroine and whose weight is not mentioned once but. The art style inside was the ugliest thing. I know many comic book artists just draw like that but T.T also I didn't feel it was too compelling so far (I don't plan to continue it or anything, my friend just had it in his house and I was bored but! I really loved this. My favorite thing that that the MC's weight is not the main focus in this comic series! Which is so great, because more often than not, when a MC is overweight it is the primary focus.I also enjoyed the snippets of background info that we go through the comic. The formatting was nice and easy to read. Now this one I loved. A fat superhero! A fat nerdy superhero woman! Loads of fun, beautiful artwork (that cover!) and I love the concept of the Chris's. Can't wait to continue reading the series.

I think a lot of love for this goes to the fact that she's a plus sized superhero. Unfortunately, putting a plus-size superhero on paper and giving people what they think they want is not enough to save something from mediocre story-telling. Everything that was interesting seemed to happen BEFORE this actually began. So instead of things happening you get a lot of internal monologuing and computer/phone chatting. I found a paper copy of this on the free shelf at my library and gave it a shot. It's pretty cute. Faith is not a traditional body type, and I like that since I'm just a smaller version of her body type. Other than that I must say I'm not really thrilled or drawn into the story so far, but it is cute.

So refreshing to have behind one type of human as the main character and superhero. So so important and enjoyable. That being said, the action didn’t really excite me and the writing was just meh ok. Not horrendous, but nowhere near awesome either. Hopefully someone else can make a winning combo of great writing, art, AND characters beyond the typical cookie cutter ones we’re inundated with. Loved this graphic novel! I actually read it twice because I enjoyed it so much. Faith is unstoppable and lovely, I truly enjoy her! This graphic novel shows you that it does not matter what you look like, it matters what you do with the voice that you have and how you use your abilities. If you haven't read this I recommend it. The writing is intriguing, the characters are fun and the message is valuable. Plus the art is EXQUISITE!

I so wanted to love this comic. A plus sized female super hero? Sign me up! But after waiting and wanting this for awhile I opened the comic to find that the gorgeous promise of the cover art was shattered by some truly terrible (to me) art inside. I read a page or two and put it down for a couple of weeks. I picked it up again today and hated the art even more. In the end I read the first issue and tried not to look much at the art. There are a couple of fantasy sequences done in another style
