This series is magical.
I live for books by these two, and I live by them too.
I enjoyed this well enough. Some interesting photographs, but it didn't make a huge impression on me.
My favorite part of this book was the two part question "Do you take a walk like you take a pill?/or/Do you take a walk like you take a cookie?" The weather and people all manner of weather fill this slender portable museum exhibition. Prose poetry and paintings and photographs, oh my! A delight.
Slim and slight. I read it in about 5 minutes and nothing much stuck to me--some little musings about weather, some photographs, some artwork by Kalman (who is great).
this long awaited (preordered oh so many months ago... so many that the cover and title shown are not what they actually are) imprint is not a drop to my knees read as an others in this series but still a light the soul, warm your heart and thank goodness for these creative genius working together.
"It's like summer. It's like doing nothing. Delicious.""When it's cold you can look at your own breathing.""Do you take a walk like you take a pill?or Do you take a walk like you take a cookie?"~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*The combination of the photographs, painting and prose texts are phenomenally artistic. I told you before, I'm hooked. Yet this book is probably my favourite from the series, so far :D
A beautiful anthology of photographs and paintings and, as always, clever writing by Handler.
This is my favorite of the three Kalman/Handler books for MOMA. The artwork is luscious, the photographs are striking, and the prose is smart.
