Spanning a tumultuous decade and a half of human history, Julius lives through personal triumphs, devastating setbacks, and the perplexities of learning to live with and love other human beings in all of their glory, wonder, and imperfections.

The author plans to tell the story of Julius in six volumes and to complete the saga in AD 79, the year of the total destruction of Pompeii, a Roman town-city, by a major eruption of nearby Mount Vesuvius.
