Wise Illusions: Journeys of a Travelling Man is the story of William John Weatherill as it was told to his youngest daughter Pamela, during the end months of 2009 - just after he had been was diagnosed with cancer.
Recording most of Bill’s story in his own words, Wise Illusions weaves Bill’s psychic development into the story of his lifetime of adventures. From working on the docks of North Vancouver during the depression - to being in the Canadian army; from being a barber by day to a magician and entertainer by night; from being a husband and father at home to being a spiritual guide in the community - wise illusions weave throughout Bill's life.

Written initially for Bill’s family and friends, Wise Illusions is a celebration of the life of a man who travelled inwardly as much as he did the continents. The story of a man whose best adventures were prompted by “that little voice in my head telling me it was right".
