But, although I am not gifted with that commanding eloquence which can fortify irrefolute virtue, and appal the daring effrontery of inveterate guilt, I truft you {hall not find me wanting in perfeverance to trace the mifery and fufferings of my Country to their real fource, nor in refolution to brave'the perfecution and calumny of detected criminals.
