5 stars Loved this book,is even better then first one,so many secrets are revealed. The author hook me with the story and Dante and Gia.The storyCapo: A Mafia Romance start with the funeral of Tray.Gia is feeling guilty for her brother murder, on top of that her sister will bring her ex-boyfriend so when she see Ron,she remembered her past.A past she tried to escape.I m not going in detail because the story is short and don t want ruin reading for others, you must read it for yourself. Dante I l
I really did like this series so far. I was not sure I would at first. But this has been one series that I was surprised on how much I liked it. It is all in how it is written. And Liliana Rhodes worded it perfectly where you got equal amount of everything and you not just overloaded with one aspect
This was a disappointing sequel. The h was so different from the first book. She had tantrums, was stubborn, cursed, and showed major attitude. After spending 4yrs in a convent I was hoping she would be more calm and collected. Her life was in danger but she behaved recklessly. One second she is angry and wants to be alone and the next she wants to be with the H. This is after accusing him of being a killer. She had no problem lusting after him and watching him shower on the day of HER BROTHER'S...
Amazing!!!!!I read the first of the series from a loaner someone gave me and it was a great story with convincing characters. This one is amazing with suspense and sensitive scenes. I have to admit that at times I thought Gia was acting like a emotional teenager however I just love Dante and his love and protective feelings for Gia. Thanks Liliana for such an amazing story and I look forward for the next one.
Meh.I could have easily put this book down. It didnt bother me at all really. The only bit that got me sitting upright and interested was learning what had happened to Ron. I'll read the next one, but only because I've already bought it. If that weren't the case I would not bother.
Love, Life and Death within a Mafia familyDeath, Funerals, gathered family and old boyfriends along with attempted murder you get a lot packed in this book. Gia’s so confused she goes back to the only home she thinks she has left. While Dante is taking care of business and giving her space she thinks she needs. You could really grasp and relate to what Gia was feeling and thinking throughout the book. Some interesting truths from the past are reviled in this book about several characters. Dante
I am giving this review for author Liliana Rhodes. This is novella 2 of her Man Made book series and it takes up where book 1 leaves off so it is best to read in order.Gia is in love with Dante but because of everything that has gone on she is in danger from someone who wants her dead. Dante has moved up in ranks for the mafia but when his father is killed things do not go as he wanted because someone is also after Gia.I really liked how the characters show depth in their interaction with others...
Another great one.Gia is at her brother's funeral. There she is told by another brother that Ron will be at the house because her sister is bringing him. Gia is scared and upset. Rom hurt her in the past and when she told her sister, she didn't believe her. Dante thinks Gia is pushing him away because he has killed and is moving up in the family. He learns the truth and Gia is still loved by him of course.Another intense one I believe. The feelings for each other just make my heart beat faster a...
honestly this series is awesome the author really captivates your imagination , i wish the story had more pages because i could honestly not put the book down at this point i want more! highly recommend
Story is off. It moves fast but nothing is really going on and at the same time a lot is going on but it's glossed over and you're left reading more about little things then the important things. Gia's situation with Ron I thought would be a big deal but after finding out about it, I thought it was just stupid. If he put her in that situation why let it go. Then for him to show up like nothing happened out the blue...really? He knew who she was dealing with so why pop up out of nowhere when deal...
Reminds me of the Godfather MoviesReading is much more satisfying than watching a movie. When you read the author is able to show you the heart and soul of its characters. Capo is fascinating and disturbing all at the same time. I love the characters, I feel for them. But at the same time I am not sure I like them. That is what is absolutely fascinating about this book. In book 2 of the Man Made Trilogy, we see Dante being pulled further into his mafia family's business. Dante just wants to prot...
Dante and Gia's world heats up as new threats emerge against Gia. Of course, outside forces are tough to deal with but it's really the inside ones that begin to tear apart their happiness. Gia is hiding secrets from her past and she is very afraid if Dante knows he won't love her anymore. Can Gia find the strength to reveal all and trust how Dante feels? Loved Gia showing her strength when faced with the demon from her past, I was very proud of her. Dante has to take on more family responsibilit...
I didn't think this series would get any better, but OMG it so did. I love these two together. Gia thought she was the one that has sinned and she is the saint in this crazy world. Dante is trying to keep her safe and we all know that is impossible, even outside what he does. But he finally gives her the one thing he never thought he would, and it is amazing. Can't wait for book 3.
This second part sounded too much like a Godfather copy cat story.
This book had less action than the first but seemed to be more about revealing some secrets. Both Dante and Gia had experiences in their respective pasts that hurt them (Gia's was physical and mental while Dante's was emotional and deadly). We get to see how these events shaped them into their present characters. The biggest issue I had with this story is that it's vague. Despite it being about revelations, everything was so... meh. Most things were implied and it drove me crazy!XO
Capo is the second book in this series, that has us following a couple who need each other like their next breath, Gia and Dante. Both have demons that they finally share with each other and start looking forward to a life together. Dante never wanted to be in the 'Gambino Family Business'. He wanted a normal family life, but things do not always work out as we want. He starts as a Soldier, with the family and advances to Capo, in order to keep Gia safe. Bodies are found with bullets in their he...
Gia and Dante are in love, but the secrets of the past refuse to remain hidden and are coming back to haunt them. As new challenges arise, they must choose to either face the past head-on and trust each other completely, or risk losing the fragile love that has only started to grow between them. This fast paced and well written sequel seamlessly picks up where Soldier: A Mafia Romance left off. The continuing love story between Gia and Dante is captivating, and Liliana Rhodes adds layers of suspe...
More Dante and Gia! I love Dante and Gia together and I'm so very glad that Gia finally manned up and told Dante the secret she was hiding. Although horrible, I thought her worrying that Dante wouldn't love her because of it was a little extreme. Especially given his background, she should have known he would love her regardless. Now that Dante is Capo, we knew it would only be a matter of time before he had to make the decision to become Boss. There are a lot of unanswered questions still, and
Fantastic Book!!!!Soldier was great, but I think Capo maybe even better. Love the chemistry between Gia and Dante. Dante loves Gia enough to let her have her space to think things over as long as he knows she's safe. She loves him enough to accept him as the head of the family and whatever decisions he has to make. Can't wait for Boss. I received this book as a gift for an honest review. Couldn't put it down until I finished it. Patsy Sacco
Dante and Gia are going through typical new relationship things while not being in a typical lifestyle. While their lives are threatened, they find their love blossoming. The book is short and seems a little over priced for the amount of story. The story and the characters are good but there could have been more.
