I received the ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Отзыв на русском в блоге или ниже.The main reason I wanted to read this collection was that I didn’t know much about China. China seems to be our current ally on the political scene. We can see our president shaking hands with their president and smiling into the camera (that doesn’t happen much; smiling, that is). And yet I don’t know what Chinese people think. Do they post photos of their breakfast online so

Either inexpert writing, or awkward translation make this essay collection pretty entertaining reading. Han Han has a huge ego, and a seemingly inflated sense of his own importance. Especially enjoyable were the sections on his visit to Taiwan.

Han Han, a brat, an outsider even for the Chinese themselves but a revolutionary in Globalisation. He is a citizen of the Earth speaking his mind.

It is strange that this book does not collects three important blogs in Dec 23, 24, 26 2011, talking about revolution; speaking about democracy; wanting freedom (韩三篇,韩寒先后发表《谈革命》、《说民主》、《要自由》). 韩...

"Rather than describing officials as "corrupt" or "honest," people use on the rise or in decline."Han is honest: about his shortcomings as a husband, activist, writer, speaker — he recognizes that he isn't that radical, he's probably more to the right on the political spectrum than some of his friends would like, and he is, like most people, selfish. He gained a reputation as a dissident because he criticized institutions (educational, political), but he only did that because he was affected, no...
