Excerpt from University and Other Sermons

The Sermons in this volume divide themselves into two separate portions; each portion being arranged with a view to chronological order. The first portion consists of seventeen Sermons preached, upon various occasions, during the term of Bishop Fraser's Epis copate. Ten of the seventeen were preached before the University of Oxford; one before the Notting ham Church Congress; one at the re-opening of Chester Cathedral; one in Manchester Cathedral, before the British Medical Association; one in York Minster, before the British Association; one at St. Andrew's Church, Holborn; two in W'estminster Abbey. Moreover, of the ten Sermons preached before the University of Oxford, five were also preached in West minster Abbey, and one before the University of Cambridge.
