Jackie Eller was born and raised in rural Kansas on the outskirts of Kansas City. She learned strong family values in both church and at home. A single mom at twenty-two, she called on her core beliefs in God to hold her young family together. It is out of these struggles to raise a family on her own that Emotional Bonding evolved. Working in a shelter for abused women, she came to understand how family is not defined by DNA or a common last name. It is an intangible bond that holds individuals from diverse, yet similar, backgrounds together.
