The Old Way Of Winter (The Nimedian Ways Book 1)

The Old Way Of Winter (The Nimedian Ways Book 1)

Michael Patrick Goodwin
0/5 ( ratings)
On the night of the Winter Solstice, the night of the Purge, Néit was across the water, frequenting his favourite tavern down by the docks, mercifully unaware of the slaughter being visited upon his house.

Jingu was not so fortunate; he was witness to the Purge, to the massacre of the lords and ladies of the Kérbholán line, to the betrayal of the House he called home by allied long trusted and others only recently won. It was Jingu who sobered Néit with his warning, it was Jingu who handed him the blade of his ancestor’s, and it was Jingu who ensured they escaped the ancient city of Ys before either sword or son was found to be missing.

And now, with spring near due, their foe no doubt to the hunt once again, these unlikely companions, Néit; a Teg lord, errant knight and wayward hunter of east game, and Jingu; a low caste Nimedian gutter-runner turned enforcer and spy for the House, are forced to abandon what winter refuge the old and rotten backwaters of the Empire have afforded them. When a merchant caravan leaves along a trail long lost, for a destination long forgotten, carrying a cargo unmarked and uncounted, they seize the much needed opportunity and plunge into the snow-clad forest alongside their new brothers-in-arms, little knowing their destination is one long since cursed.

So begins a journey along the Old Way, through untamed lands where danger resides beyond every turn and an epic adventure unfolds with every footprint left in the snow.
