Splintered Lands: Season of the Crow

James Tallett
0/5 ( ratings)
They lived in a world broken by the power of magic and torn by the cruelty of humans. Shattered a mere century before, vast tracts of land are uninhabitable, and repression is the order of the day. And yet a few people struggle for a better life.

The lesser sons of petty nobles, Gavlen Ond and his friends had set out from home in search of a new beginning, a place to forge the nation of their dreams. Instead, what they found was an ending.

Now the children that Gavlen orphaned have come into their own, Tannor and Shendon fending for themselves as they cope with the newfound reality of their talents. But it is a harsh world, a cruel world, and although they have only just thrown off the noose of one oppressor, another has already appeared. Ahead of them lie trials and tribulations aplenty, but they have a bond of unshakeable brotherhood that will see them through.

Splintered Lands: Season of the Crow is a 14,500 word short story by Pat Traven, and is the fourth volume of the Splintered Lands. It continues a story begun in Splintered Lands: Vagabonds and Swine.
