Jumping The Rainbow Bridge: Life Lessons From Dogs Past...

Jumping The Rainbow Bridge: Life Lessons From Dogs Past...

Amy Lyons
0/5 ( ratings)
Jumping The Rainbow Bridge is an anthology of short stories celebrating the life lessons we've learned from dogs who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge or had an amazing impact on our lives. The stories are amusing, touching, tearful, and inspiring. Nearly all of the dogs featured in this book participate in canine sports and activities: Agility, Dock Diving, Hunt, Field, Flyball, and Disc - just to name a few.

All of these activities allow dogs to jump and run, and what dog doesn't love to run and jump. Dogs that participate in canine performance sports are particularly adept at jumping. They enjoy it so much that the contributors felt that when it came time, inevitably, for them to cross the Rainbow Bridge, these special heart dogs did not meekly cross it...

They jumped it with all of the exuberance and joy they shared with us in life. Jumping The Rainbow Bridge is dedicated to all dogs who have or will cross the Rainbow Bridge, and showcases the individual personalities of nine wonderful dogs. Even more touching and insightful are the lessons the dogs taught us, and the special "forever place" they captured in our hearts.

Edited by Bill Gleason of Digital Wordsmith, the contributors include: Nancy Tucker, Laurie Andrews, Tina Biello, Ellen Gleason, Jennifer Goldberg, Sharon Lynch Davis, Amy Lyons, Christine Schopen, and Charlene Shea,

The stars of the book are named Windy, Kia, Brit, Sheep, Racer, Phoebe, Stella, Petey, and Shannon.

Many of the dogs featured in the book were victims of canine cancer and other autoimmune diseases, and all proceeds from Jumping The Rainbow Bridge are given to charities that involved in the ongoing fight against canine cancer.
