3.5/5The road to civil war: #1- Amazing Spider-Man #529 ✓
Great!Love getting to explore and connect the whole story of Marvel Civil War. It'll be a great adventure, I'm sure.
Currently working my way through the Civil War arc and actually really enjoyed this one. I love Peter and Tony's dynamic and of course the introduction to the Iron Spider-man suit (ya know, because it's awesome).
Gonna be a long one
Liked it enough to continue onto the next issue. Reading this on Marvel Unlimited and they have an amazing feature which shows chronologically how to read Civil war and it jumps back and forth between the different Marvel characters and the appropriate issue. would have difficult to buy this in trade. Spidey and Iron man are good pals and this sets the scene about the beginning of the civil war..
So, I am preparing myself for the movie and figured now might be a good time to read a couple graphic novels. This was interesting and definitely kept me entertained for the few minutes it took me to read it.
The car chase with the new and improved Spidey was exciting and intense. Hopefully, this new partnership between Tony Stark and Peter Parker will work out for the best. Also, it is too bad that Mary Jane doesn’t get to be well-rounded character.
If you want to know how he became the iron-spider, this is the issue for you. If you will not read this issue, nothing will change in your life!Waste of time... YesBut without knowing the details... “something” will be missing. You can easily pass this one.
Re-reading Civil War arc in its entirety. Introduction of Iron Spider. Unnecessary joke about voyeurism. Tony asking Peter to be his protege and back him up no matter what. Asking him not to tell anyone else about it; including Steve.
Oh yeah!! Iron Spider
I am not usually a big Spider-Man fan, however I thoroughly enjoyed this comic book. I am reading all of the ones in The Road to Civil War, and fully expected to not really care for the Spider-Man ones, but I have to say I really liked this one.
solid iron-dad vibes
In this issue, Tony Stark gives Spider-Man a new outfit to test out. Spider-Man is suspicious- and for a good reason! When Peter asks Tony why he is helping him, Tony asks Peter to, "stick with me through what's coming, no matter what." Tony won't go into detail until Peter swears...
Sorry, Tony. Spider-Man's new costume sucks. Also, how did he glide? Nothing in his new costume shows it's affecting physics.
