The beginning two issues of a women-centric suspense and cyberpunk comic-book series.
In “The Good Child” story arc, Yoshiko is the eldest daughter of a Japanese yakuza crime family, held to the rules and expectations of someone raised with such wealth and prestige. And as such a proper daughter, she respects and trusts her elders, including acceptable betrothal at the age of 10 to a man over 15 years her senior. However, as time goes on, she starts to become aware of clues of questionable and dangerous activity in other parts of her family. But as the respectable daughter, Yoshiko knew it’s best to nod, keep her gaze forward, and keep her mouth shut.
In the “Berserker” story arc, Casey grows up in Southern Californian in a loving and caring family, who are all aware of her boyish nature and attraction to other girls. However, when she starts Junior High, she comes face to face with true hatred and bigotry, right at a time when unforeseen health issues complicate her life further.
