This one must be my favourite so far in the series. The story was almost poetic and the art direction really pushed up their game.
In your face Dr. Dee.
"Cowardy cowardy custard stick your head in the mustard." What a rhyme from Doctor Destiny. Was kinda surprised with how he was handled at the end. Didn't expect to see Scarecrow. Weird that the ending says, "Next time: A Death in the Family." I guess a reference to the Jason Todd story?
The title of this Sandman issue takes us directly (at least to me) to Faulkner's homonym book. The contact between these two works takes place more subliminally, just as we believe that Delusion, Destiny, and all other lords from Sandman can have subliminal roles in our lives. But does subliminal mean secondary?
Great strategy Morpheus! Totally worthy of being the lord of dreams! Oh wait… you just stood there and rolled with it…This issue again seemed to be just a showcase. Slight development of the antagonist.
I wish I had a nights rest like that.
Excellent arc. Excited for the next issue.
Nothing much I like about this issue. I still don't know the use of Dream's helm. Dream forgave a man who played with the minds of the million people of this world, creating chaos, committing murders and suicides. Good for you, Dream King. But hey, you forgave a Hitler, why can't you forgive Nada?
Terrifying just terrifying
It was such a good one, allowed to see just how unhuman he is even if he has the image of one.

a bit of a forced happy ending. But the story is keeping it's pace.
For me this volume is all about SOUND, the sound of pain, of anguish, of distress and of madness. When the panels depict the world at the brink of chaos and everyone has been pushed right up to the precipice of insanity, Gaiman doesn't want you to feel the pain of the sufferers and empathize towards them, he is not asking you to visualize the suffering he simply asks us to listen, listen to the crying- listen to the screams- listen to the sighs of despair. Such is the power of sound. There is anot...
If you would steal a dreamlord's power ... then you shall do so in the dreamlord's realm. In DREAMS. Morpheus battles John Dee for control of his ruby. Kudos to Neil Gaiman for setting a part of this episode at Arkham Asylum, giving DC villains some well deserve cameos.
this series has been so intelligent. it intrigues and scares at the same time.
