Salzan. As central trade hub for southern Felidas continent, wealth endlessly flows through the city, as do those seeking it. And like the city itself, most of those seekers of wealth are corrupt to the core.

One of the major outlets for that wealth is hica gum, a potent but debilitating drug that slowly destroys the mind. Currently the two major players in the hica trade are the Betrass kinship, a family of Holran immigrants, and the Trade Consortium, the shady criminal arm of the city's guilds. The two organizations have been enemies from the beginning, existing in an uneasy standoff as both vie for more and more territory. It's only a matter of time until some event triggers war.

Enter Hod the Hook and his young brother Tany, Betrassi who find themselves involved in a routine heist of a Trader shipment with cargo that's anything but routine. Join them as they struggle to survive on the streets of Salzan, where danger lurks around any corner and few are truly innocent.
