Tina made her way toward the airport exit arriving at Massachusetts Bay area. Excited that for the first time in her life, ‘at 29 years of age heading toward middle aged woman. ‘she was for the first time on her own, the only regret in her life not being able to finish her career in XRAY TECH, that was too far from her, she thought as she grabbed her last bags in the circling baggage area. It was certainly too expensive for her family, coming from a big family with a small business that was how they managed to get by. There was something more for her. She thought as she called a taxi that was passing by, she settled all her baggage’s in the trunk of the taxi and climbed in.
“Where to?” The taxi man asked her.
Tina pulls out a piece of paper from her bag and hands it to the taxi man.
“Close Point Apartments, she told the taxi driver.
“I know exactly where that is.” He said with a smile. “New in town?” He asked.
“Yes!” I answered him plainly.
“You are going to love it here!” He said excitedly.
Looks allot like my home town, so I doubt it that I would hate it! I told him in return.
He returned a smile.
He continued to stare at me through the rear view mirror.
He was beginning to make me nervous.
“Here you are Miss.” Close Point Apartments. He said as he looked at the meter to give me the price.
I paided him and went for my luggage’s in the trunk.
“Would you like some help upstairs with that?” He asked.
“Yeah that would be wonderful thanks.” I said and handed him a few lug gages. The rain started to fall again with lots of fury. Soaking us both in less than a second, we both hurried to the gate, searching for the keys in my sweater pocket, I pulled them out and opened the gate and we headed toward the second floor.
“Here we are.” I told him.
“Alright have a good day Miss. He said as he faded into the misty rain, not waiting at all for a tip.
I looked for my apartment keys and opened my newly furnished apartment door it was amazingly beautiful. She thought as she gathered all her luggage’s inside from the rain. It was more beautiful than she had imagined, she hurried to get her coat and umbrella out of the way to dry up.
Her hopes and inspirations were drawn to this new place where she would start her new career as a sales person in a clothing store, not what she had inspired for her future, but it was a beginning of a new life style that had nothing to do with her but was going to make the best of it. She thought as she picked up the phone to call in her boss and let him know that she was in town. She threw her boots off her feet and lay down in her sofa. The place was pleasantly warm and smelled like vanilla.
The boss quickly answered.
Yeah this is Tina calling in for work tomorrow. I told the familiar voice, I had made arrangements with the boss for my arrival a few months in advanced, he was as eager as I was to work together.
That’s great! You made it safe! Good, can’t wait to meet you he said in a kind manner. I will see you tomorrow. He said hurrying to hang the phone. Someone at the other end of the phone was talking with him.
This was the beginning of a new career for Tina and not only that but a world full of suspense and confusion that it was hard to trust anyone in town! Till she met Fabian a new person in town after years of not speaking with a soul here at Close Point Apartments. She opens up to a new world, to a man that she quickly finds herself in love with, ‘only to be surprisingly in competition with his loving fans. That meant competition to Tina and that only set her back a step farther to being the woman of his dreams.
