My God, please protect my family.” He kept repeating the same phrase over and over perhaps a million times in his brain. And then he saw a teary eyed Emily looking down Rose’s motionless body. Rose’s face look evil and dark. “What is happening, Emily? What happened? I was only gone an hour. Where is Arthur? He is supposed to protect both of you. Did he not? Where is he?”

Steve said a silent prayer to calm himself. He remembered his grandfather had mentioned that to him during one of those trips together with the old master. “You must be calm, Steve. Only when you are calm will the evil be fearful of you. Our family is born with this responsibility. Your father did not listen to me. His training was prematurely ended. He did not listen. If he did, he would still be alive today.” His grandfather’s voice came ringing back into his ears again.
