Loveliest of Trees, by A.E. HousmanIndeed short, but cherry bloom sweet ***
I reread this fine poem today.Carpe diem. Also available at: poetrysoup.com
A very pretty, short poem.
I have arranged my takeaway thoughts into a haiku:"It's clearer each spring,The trick the seasons play, that Their course isn't one way."
fifty springs are little room...
This is probably the only poem that turns math into prose, but it's done decently well as the poet gives homage to the beauty of a cherry tree.
