Imperfect Match

Imperfect Match

Ann Jacobs
5/5 ( ratings)
When widowed Meghan Bryant first met Doctor Jake Levinson while her daughter Joci was awaiting a liver transplant a year earlier, it had been no time for Meghan to act on the instant attraction she felt toward the handsome chief resident. And no time for Jake to make a move on his patient’s pretty mother.

A year later, things have changed. When Jake rescues a rain-soaked pup he immediately thinks of Joci and her mother because Joci talked constantly about her cat and the chocolate lab they’d had to give to her aunt before her surgery. Thinking it may be time for the little girl to have another dog, Jake calls Meghan, telling her it wouldn’t be fair for him to keep Patches cooped up in his house for hours at the time while he’s at work.

The pup finds a home with Joci, and lust blooms between Jake and Meghan, along with love. The potential conflict that looms because Jake is Orthodox while Meghan is not could tear them apart, but it does not. They won’t let it. Compromise is easy when love is strong—and theirs is, for each other, for Joci and for their very different-thinking families.

In the end, Jake and Meghan work out their problems—and his disapproving mother is brought around by a precocious little girl who is convinced everyone must love her. What was an imperfect match becomes perfect.
