The Day My Daddy Came to school

The Day My Daddy Came to school

Yonit Werber
4.2/5 ( ratings)
Is it important to you that your child thinks that what you do for a living is great?
In this story, a young boy compares his own father to his friends’ fathers. They all have heroic careers or highly-paid jobs that make them look great. But our young boy’s father is simply a writer. Because he doesn’t perform heroic deeds, and is not a major boss-man with a big team to manage, the boy thinks his Dad is a little boring. But, in truth, his father has a mind filled with wonderful ideas that could probably change the world! The boy discovers this when his father, Jack, talks to his school friends at school on ‘Bring Your Dad’ day. Our boy discovers more about his father in one morning than he ever knew.
This wonderful rhyming story for kids will urge them to speak to their parents about their careers; to ask questions and find out how truly great their parents are at what they do. It will also help them to see that just because a job might not come with flashing lights, lots of money or recognition, this does not mean it’s unimportant.
