According to scripture what we do, who we are, and how we love those around us truly matters. God can't be placed into box or molded into our American Middle Class image, rather He wants you and I molded into the image of His son, Jesus.

In this book, A Great Cloud, we grasp the significance of our lives and actions in the lives of those around us. We see forgiveness and love in the most extreme of circumstances. We see God move in our lives through suffering and trials.

We see that in this world there is injustice but Jesus is coming again "to judge the living and the dead and His kingdom shall have no end."

In these devotions we will see people and characters as diverse as Sherlock Holmes, Harry Truman, and Robert E. Lee. We will see God work in the lives of Mary and Joseph, and we will touch on the subjects of Advent, Christmas, Lent & Easter.

In all of these stories and devotions we see Jesus moving in our circumstances, challenging our faith, moving us beyond barriers of class, income, or race. We see Jesus and when He captures our heart and life, He indeed will make us into His image. We are called to a Christianity with its roots in the first century, that will be to us fresh, vibrant and world changing.
