"We should go to Paris," Nadine breathed into his ear as the strains of a vaguely French song died down. And with those five impulsive words, the two of them were sent down a one way road toward certain doom.
Guy snickered.
"No, really," she said, working hard to focus on his eyes. "We should go. You could write. I could find some little club to sing in. I could go by Nadia. It'd be divine."
Guy pushed away from her a little. "Paris?"
Nadine's lips curved in a wry smile. "Why not? Courtney and Miles will be busy with their new life. No time for their poor single friends. I've always wanted to go to Paris, haven't you?"
