BOOK 1: ARNOLD CRABTREE, WW1 BRITISH SNIPER.
At the beginning of WW1, German snipers executed mass killings along the trenches of Flanders and France. Sniper bullets cut down thousands of Kitcheners' soldiers in the prime of life. Amidst, exploding shells and smoke, a carnage of mangled corpses, sank in a sea of mud. The Kaiser's crack-shot marksmen were off to a winning start. Arnold Crabtree, my Great-Uncle-In-Law, was one of the early recruits in a WW1 Sniper School in Bethune, France.

BOOK 2: WALTER TULL. WW1 FIRST BLACK OFFICER & FAMOUS FOOTBALLER.
During WW1, Walter Tull became the first british born black officer to lead white troops into battle. He fought in many major battles and was recommended for the Military Cross. Walter was also a famous footballer before WW1. He became the first black professional footballer to play in Latin America and the second black professional footballer to play for England .

BOOK 3: RONALD CRABTREE, POST WW1: MIDDLE EAST SOLDIER.
The Middle East conflict, that we see on the news today, is nothing new. In 1919, the Allied Forces occupied the Middle East after WW1. Ronald Crabtree, my Great-Uncle-In-Law was part of a peace keeping force drafted into Constantinople, Turkey, to maintain order, after the turmoil of the Mesopotamian Campaign, in the dying stages of the Ottoman Empire. He faced daily conflict from ethnic tribes, soaring crime rates, extreme temperatures and tropical diseases.
