Sample-She was escorted to the bar and shown to a table. The man sitting there stood up and her knees threatened to give way on her. To say he was beautiful would have been an understatement. He was taller, much taller than her five foot – eight. His raven colored hair was clipped short and his eyes were as dark as coffee.
“Hello.” he said in a slightly accented voice. “I’m Nikos Kiriakis.”
“Ariana Phillips.”
She shook the hand he offered, but instead of letting go he brought it to his lips and placed a soft kiss to her knuckles. She shivered from his brief touch.
“Please have a seat.” He gestured to the chair next to his. “What would you like to drink?”
“A white wine please,” she said, sitting. He signaled for a server and placed their order.
“I have to admit when I came here tonight I hadn’t planned on participating in the auction.”
“What changed your mind?”
“You did.”
