If you’ve already read ‘Save the White Stag’, this colouring book is a nice way to connect again with the characters. If you haven’t read the book yet, perhaps it will inspire you to do so! The book contains pictures from ‘Save the White Stag’, which is part 2 of a collection of four fantasy stories for children, all set in the Forest of Dean. The stories centre around four children - Caro, Finn, Molly and Jamie – and in ‘Save the White Stag’, the children embark on an adventure to save the legendary magical white stag when it’s in danger.

Once again, Kirsty Boar’s black and white illustrations really bring the story to life, and this colouring book contains a set of Kirsty’s pictures for you to colour and keep. Each picture page is one-sided, so there’s no bleeding into a picture on the other side, and they can all be cut out and framed in a 13 cm x 18 cm frame.

Each picture is also accompanied by a quote from the book, and it’s fun to try to match up the pictures with their place in the story. A combination of ‘Save the White Stag’ and its accompanying colouring book is a great gift idea for a young reader.
