A12-01
Earth is collapsing. Crops are failing, catastrophic storms rage, and anything with a Y chromosome is dead. The only thing keeping humanity from going extinct is the visitors from space. They provide us with food, safety, and shelter for two years without asking for anything. That's all about to change. I don't have a say, none of us who are affected do. If the humans want to keep the protection of the aliens, we'll agree to their new terms.

They only ask one thing:
Allow the women of Unit A12 to be sent to another world that's in need of females.

I'm A12-01, and it looks like I'm the first to ensure the other human women keep the same life they've been living for two years.

Ralleth
Twenty-five years ago, all of the females of my tribe died of sickness. The males who were old enough to understand that our tribe would fall with no females left to find lives in other tribes. Those of us that are left pray to the goddess that one day we will not be looked down upon by other tribes, and they will allow us to find mates amongst them. Every year I ask the other tribal leaders if they will show us favor, and every year I am denied.

This year is no different until a mysterious creature appears from a strange light in my dining hall. I don't know what it is or if it's even female, but I feel drawn to claim it as my own. Surely the goddess is showing us favor by giving us this creature on my birthday of all days.
