The Lazarus Initiative - Book 2 - Resurrection

The Lazarus Initiative - Book 2 - Resurrection

Overview
In Book 2, ‘Resurrection’, Nicolas Sheridan, having survived a plane crash and a subsequent assassination attempt, begins his quest in earnest – to explore the mysteries of the afterlife and determine why some people are denied and sent back at the moment of death. Looking to strengthen his team of researchers, Sheridan recruits a doctor with a habit of losing patients – only to have them come back to life. Meanwhile, detective Jonah Wells pays a visit to the Echelon Corporation’s new CEO – and discovers hints of a far-reaching conspiracy; while back at the Lazarus headquarters, the rest of the team continues to probe the mysteries of the elusive ‘Man in Grey’ – his connection to their afterlife experiences, Native American legends, and the very land under their feet.

ABOUT THE LAZARUS INITIATIVE:

N.D.E. and subsequent stories are intended to be a series experience with new installments coming out fairly regularly, each one hopefully developing and adding on from the ideas in the one before. We thought it'd be fun to build a series in the same way we would a TV show with linked but separate stories that come together to feed a bigger overall series arc.

In keeping with that we made a conscious decision to make them something you could read in a single sitting, just like one of those TV shows you'd sit and watch in a 45 minute block. These aren't novels, they're novelettes, which means they run around 12,000-20,000 words, or about 30-45 minutes reading at the speed we read.

We set out to write something fans of shows we enjoyed, things like Medium and Afterlife, and fused them with the raw energy of 24 and other thrillers, keeping the emphasis on the supernatural but very deliberately away from anything horrific.
