I wrote Jeremy and the Crocodile Dentist after watching a nature program on television. After seeing a crocodile and looking at its “smile,” I heard the words crocodile dentist. I picked up a pen and paper, and the little book seemed to write itself. I read the book to family and friends, and they all loved it and wanted me to do something with it. I called Janet and asked her to illustrate it, since she is such a wonderful children’s artist. I always bought books for my children and never dreamed I would one day write one. I have written a second story, but we have not illustrated it yet.
