The crossovers and cameos at this point are just crazy. And this series of issues is essentially one long series of battles with tiny breaks in between. Some pretty interesting story points are introduced here too.
I'm really enjoying Savage Dragon, and Larson's craft just gets better with each issue. In this volume, for the first time, the world building starts to feel effective and monumental. Even the spoof characters help everything to breathe. Each character is beginning to have a unique voice, some threads are getting wrapped up, and some new yarns are spinning in some cool directions. Savage Dragon is an easy read, and continues to be plenty fun.
An excellent continuation of superfreak / supercop Savage Dragon, and his battles against Chicago's criminal underworld, by the ever-impressive Erik Larsen. This TPB introduces the leeches of Swarm.Excellent art and story throughout. Highly recommended!
Wicked Worm is a strange yet somehow scary character. The potential is for it to be funny but as Horde its actually one of the better characters in comics if you ask me. I like how Dragon being possessed is something that is built up to for a while with a number of other awesome characters being possessed in previous issues.
Good fun
