Title: Three Broken PromisesSeries: Drew & Fable #3Author: Monica MurphyRelease Date: December 31st, 2013Rating: 5 starsCliffhanger: No HEA: (view spoiler)[ Yes (hide spoiler)]I really enjoyed previous Monica Murphy’s books, but Three Broken Promises is absolutely, out of this world perfect romantic story that swept me off my feet. Once again, I fell in love with Murphy’s easy style of writing, great sense of humor and ideal characters. I really had a blast while reading this strong, unique a...
3 stars ★★★ I had no clue who Colin and Jen were. But to sum it up, this is a brother's best friend book. They work and live together but they are both holding back secrets.I liked that Fable featured in this book quite a bit and loveee her advice to Jen. I don't doubt Fable's threat for a second. My balls are shrivelling up in feat at this very moment What I didn't like was the main characters. I'm afraid Colin to me wasn't as likeable as Drew and his inability to open up to Jen j...
ARC provided on behalf of Random House Publishing Group via Net GalleryOkay so I have to admit that for a second I was like, who the hell were Jen & Colin again… and so I went back to read the review I did for Second Chance Girlfriend looking for clues, what I found was this:“I will miss these two. I really hope that Monica Murphy will consider a companion novel for Colin or Jen.”Absolutely no help. So I did the logical next step. I went back to SCG and skimmed through looking for clues. Then
4.5 Now I Have A Book Hangover Stars!!I have to say I am a little in awe of Monica Murphy right now. I have literally read the first 3 books in the Drew & Fable Series in the last 48 hours, and I can hands down say each book has been better than it's predecessor.Three Broken Promises, is Colin and Jen's story. You are given a glimpse of both of them in Second Chance Boyfriend, as Colin becomes Fable's boss and Jen her best friend. Straight away it was great too see Drew and Fable in this book, o...
This book was such a nice read. It was easy and well-written book. Three Broken Promises is a story about friendship, loss, love and finding yourself again. Colin has been having nightmares after losing his best friends in the war. And Jen lose her brother and the same time, her parents didn't take interest of her. She found herself into unwanted situation and has a past that she wants to hide. But yet, it was Colin who came to rescue her. These two seriously need to have their heads knocked toge...
2 starsLet’s get straight to the point shall we? There are no words to describe how much of a disappointment this third installment is. The first two books I absolutely LOVED and there was literally nothing I could pick on. Drew and Fable’s story was jam-packed with emotion and the author expertly explored the darker themes presented in those two books. But this third one? WHAT HAPPENED? What happened to the intensity I know the author can weave into the story? What happened to a captivating plo...
3.5 Broken Stars Three Broken Rules is a spin off of two characters in the Drew + Fable series. The first two books, I loved. I was really excited to read about Jen and Colin after meeting them in previous books. This wasn’t a bad book, it just wasn’t near as good as the first two for me. Jen and Colin have known each other a long time. Jen’s brother, Danny, and Colin were best friends growing up. Ever since Danny died in Iraq, Jen and Colin have both had a hard time. Guilt, regret, they both...
Oh let's just keep with the "I'm such a stud I give my books 5 stars" tradition shall we? ;)What would you like to know about Jen and Colin? Let me give you a few glimpses into their story:-- These two are just...completely different than Drew + Fable.-- There are two words that run through my head as I write it. Guilt and freedom. Guess what? You'll never be free until you let go of the guilt. This is the theme so far.-- Fable's in the opening scene with Jen. :)-- Even as I get deeper into this...
Can I just roll my eyes from frustration?Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy Colin and Jen's story. I find Drew and Fable's story more adorable and have a promising drama. Just... UGH. They really frustrated me even if they have an intense romance. They keep on holding back their feelings and it's obvious they want each other.Colin constantly pushes Jen away because he broke three promises.Jen keeps on whining because she feels Colin doesn't want her.Jen wants to quit her job but doesn't have a plan w...
I loved and . They were awesome reads. I liked the characters in this book - but I found myself wondering WHY most of the book. Colin & Jen were a great couple - but I wanted more from them. I wanted this book to show a lot more sexy and lust! I HOPE there will be another book about them... I look forward to it.
