I enjoyed the walk down memory lane with this quick reread of a series I read most of as a teenager. Might or might not continue onwards, as it's different enough from the original show to be interesting. And with the remake of the show, the ebooks are free on Scribd, so you never know. I never did get to finish it because I couldn't find all the books at my library as a teen. If you're a fan of the original show or love the cheesy, mass produced series popular in the 90s I'd recommend it.
One of the rare instances when the show was better than the book. Between the multiple POVs, the insta-love and the childish writing, I don't know what was worse. The only reason I will continue to read these books is, well firstly I'm nothing if not mildly compulsive and secondly, I know it has potential. Huge potential. I only know this from having seen all three seasons of the television series.
I’ve watched the original show when it aired, and am watching the new show as well. This book’s story is different than the other two, and somehow, that’s still fine. All three share the same first scene in common, more or less, but all three stories go on different directions from it, which is still pretty cool.
