Bit dated, useful though, and certainly a fast read. The author's thesis is certainly feasible.
[First time through]: Some good insight in here but I think a big part of it is a misread (especially when he talks about Burke's opposition to the Nabobs). [Second time through]: I appreciate the good professor's take a bit more now. I still think India and the fact that he opposed the French Revolution knowing it was a capitalist revolution are the big holes. It's still indispensable in Burke criticism and is going to be of great help in my writing about him.
