National Honor Society

National Honor Society

Michael P. McShane
0/5 ( ratings)
I'm no good at talking to girls or playing sports, but I'm only 16, so I figure I have time to improve. What I can't improve on is my three friends. They’re the coolest dudes in Oklahoma, and it showed when the DA charged my friend Mark Larkin with murdering his parents. The townspeople of our little farming community turned their backs on us at that point. Not that it mattered. We knew Mark didn't do it. He loved his mother. We all did. But when it came to his father . . . Well, let's just say Frank Larkin was a whole 'nother talk show and leave it there for now. My aunt Becky is a famous country music singer and recording artist. She probably put it best when she said about Frank and Mark; "Bad people get worse; good people get used." Mark had been used most of his life. Now with the murder of his mother, he'd been framed prettier than Mona Lisa.
